OUR STORY: FROM AN ASPIRED CHILDHOOD TO INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

Long before I earned my board certifications or stepped into a clinical lab, my journey in medicine began at home, sitting beside my grandmother.

As a child, I watched her live with the daily challenges of severe arthritis. Wanting to help, I would spend hours gently rubbing soothing ointments into her aching hands, arms, and shoulders. I took the task seriously, focused entirely on easing her pain. One night before bed, after a session that brought her deep relief, she looked down at her hands, smiled at me, and said something I would never forget:

"Come little child, you are going to grow up to be a nurse-doctor!"

Those words became my North Star. They defined my purpose and ignited a lifelong passion for the healing arts.

Today, as an Autonomous Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) board-certified in family practice and pediatrics, I have spent nearly a decade bringing that promise to life. Grandmother’s Hands Family Health was founded to honor that original calling—to blend the deep, intuitive touch of clinical nursing with the advanced diagnostic capabilities of independent family medicine.

Located right here in Orange City, our practice is built on the belief that healthcare should feel like a community, not a corporate assembly line. Whether we are, conducting advanced readiness panels for our National Guard and Reserve service members, guiding a child through their developmental milestones, helping a neighbor manage a chronic condition, or providing certified DOT physicals to keep our local truck drivers and commercial fleetts safely on the road, we bring the same gentle dedication that started at my grandmother's side

Experienced Medical Provider

Our Medical Provider has completed extensive education and clinical training as well as specialized training in Family Practice, and Pediatric Critcal and Complex Care. They are board-certified professionals who hold memberships and fellowships in many professional organizations. Driven to constantly improve their knowledge and the services they provide, our physicians frequently attend conferences and society meetings to learn about the latest advancements in the field and offer these techniques and technologies to our patients. In all of these ways and more, we are able to provide our patients with the highest quality of care.

The Importance of Patient Education

A key part of preventing a health care problem from progressing is being aware as to how they can develop. We strongly believe that patient education is an important part of the services we provide. In addition to talking with our patients during their exams, we have a ready supply of patient education materials such as brochures and information sheets in our office. We encourage our patients to read about their condition and ask us questions about how to stay healthy.
